Commenting on the original kitchen, our designers felt that the original kitchen just didn’t flow very well. The peninsular was sticking out into the room, the working area was restricted and the full potential of this lovely area just wasn’t being utilised. Opening the kitchen into a classic ‘U’ shape and lowering the units under the window (drawers for more storage) creating a window seat worked well. They then removed the original peninsular and made the kitchen less fussy, far more workable and this of course opened the room up. It now feels spacious and accommodates everything needed. The working area now flows so our client can enjoy cooking and socialising without being ‘hemmed’ in. A lovely addition to the design is the open shelved unit for all the cook books and the more important wine storage as requested by our client.

As all of our kitchens are made to order the installation naturally went smoothly and it all fitted like a glove.

Mixing the colours can give a lot more interest to a kitchen. Though to bear in mind that when mixing colours, stronger colours should always be lower with the lighter colour above, as this ‘lifts’ the kitchen.

All in all, the designers, the fitters and most importantly the client loves this kitchen…… Everything has its place.
